CHARLOTTE CROFT & LAURA HEMMING-LOWE
CATHERINE HOFFMAN combines theatre, live art, music, songs, text, video, dance and stand up comedy in her work as a performance artist, director, actor and musician. For SMASH LAB she presents "The Glory days - forgot what I always knew." Humour and musicality is always a driving force within her work, swinging from peculiar absurdity to extreme vulnerability and awkwardness in order to expose the human condition. Her work is surreal in nature, pushing the boundaries of being the female fool. As well as being a solo artist she is also part of the duo Molly & Me
ALICE MALSEED is a London based Live Artist. For SMASH LAB she is presenting an interactive everyday performance titled "Framed Narrative".
In Framed Narrative she invites her audience to define what has made her who she is. By telling them short stories about people who she has met throughout her life time, from her ex-boyfriends, her grandparents, flatmates, her father, her primary school teachers and the man who delivered bread to her granny's house, she attempts to help her audience make informed assumptions about her. She would like the SMASH LAB audience to vet the material which they hear, and ask them to give feedback and guidance as to which way the material should go.
CHARLOTTE CROFT & LAURA HEMMING-LOWE are performance / dance artists. They are part of performance trio SKIPtheatre. At SMASH LAB they will present a few performative experiments (for the first time) exploring beauty rituals and procedures with food and the body.
