SEASON BUTLER is a London-based writer, performance artist and teacher, and an associate producer of the I'm With You art collective. For SMASH LAB V Season will be presenting a piece about the monarchy called Some Thoughts on Princesses and Privilege.

PHOEBE DAVIESwork is defined by its situation and contexts, exploring the social codes and behavioral responses that shape an event, public space or constructed scenario.  She generates work through instruction, live interaction and text, which may be initiated by an individual or group but completed or extended by others. Her work is often ephemeral and chanced upon existing primarily in pedestrian spaces in addition to galleries and institutions. Building upon her recent performance at Whitechapel Gallery where the education curator was given an introductory text to perform live, Phoebe Davies will be developing a new situation specific work for SMASH LAB V. Working with those responsible for programming and curating the event she will be developing an instructed text to be delivered by a speaker.

URBAN FOXES COLLECTIVE are currently studying at Goldsmiths taking the LIVE ART module. They have collaboratively devised a piece titled ‘Moving You’ which explores the subversion of cliched experimental theatre conventions. The performance includes white faces, a tin bath filled with rice, string and Lynchian dancing.

LUCIE BAILLY is a performer, dancer and a musician.  As a French artist she is concerned with the invisible or visible connections which link Paris and London. She will be presenting ‘ANOTHERSPACE’at SMASH LAB V. This dreamlike performance inspired by Nadja’s written by Andre Breton mixes movement, objects and games to invite the spectator to enter in ' ANOTHERSPACE ' as if we were to discover a new country.

ELENA MOLINARO works with performance, installations, photography and video to create live compositions that stand at the interface between visual art and performance. Since 2010 she has developed a rigorous body-based practice working mainly as a solo artist.

For SMASH LAB V she will present ‘Mater’. When the human condition is conceived as fragmented and hunted by an unavoidable sense of solitude, the body becomes a site of transformation, a liminal space where the borders between in and out, subject and object are blurred. At this embryonic stage, the project explores the possibilities of making visible what is invisible, and looks at the exchange between absence and presence.

LAURA HEMMING-LOWE is a multi-disciplinary artist and producer. She studied at Goldsmiths (BA, 2007) and Laban (MA, 2012). Her outcome is most often performance but she also creates photography, film,  installation and audio works. Laura's practice focuses on popular culture and the body, investigating themes of beauty, self-betterment and consumerism. By distrupting and misplacing mass beauty ideals, rituals and procedures her aim is to open questions and debate around issues of the body, beauty, hyper-femininity, hyper-sexuality and representations of gender.
In her performance for SMASH LAB she will be looking at post- feminist culture specifically focusing on the female body in relation to consumerism.
